The 16 Days of Action Campaign is now over. We saw around 500 people sign up against Domestic Abuse nationally which led to a social media splurge in thousands of tweets. This coverage is great to start talking about domestic abuse (#talkaboutabuse) so we can help end silent suffering.

We know that since our campaign that more people are reporting abuse but as 86 women were murdered by their partners last year there is still more to do and we can all play our part http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35093837

In Wyre Forest we found in some cases that when asked, clients spoke about a personal experience or someone they know having suffered domestic abuse, when their query was something else. CitA is continually developing our services to better help victims, and this will continue into next year.

Thank you to anyone who took part in the campaign, and remember, if anyone you know or yourself needs help, contact us (03444 111 444) or click the link below for more organisations:https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/relationships/gender-violence/domestic-violence-and-abuse-organisations-which-give-information-and-advice/
