Roger's Rants Part 13
It seems we've entered a splurge of spending so there's no better time than to be aware of what your rights are. Have a look at the Consumer Rights Act to get clued up:
The new Black Friday craze has sent sales rocketing - as well as credit card bills (apparently shoppers are set to spend £1b through credit cards) which finished yesterday with Cyber Monday (the busiest day for online sales). Now that's over, everyone can concentrate on Christmas shopping...
We have a fair amount of clients coming in with concerns over affording Christmas. We recommend planning on how much you can afford before setting foot in a shopping centre - budgeting will mean a more comfortable Christmas. Have a look at our tool:

Also, from last Friday to 2nd December, it's National Consumer Week, and the focus this year is electricial goods as this is the most common faulty item. Apparently, 1 in 5 people have consumer issues and can spend up to 4 hours trying to sort it out - 1 in 10 take time off work to sort it!
I've seen a few clients who have spent months and months trying to resolve an issue. If you're having trouble with the company/dealer, consider an alternative dispute resolution - a third party might be able to help you come to an agreement.
As you know this can be stressful - give our consumer line a call if you'd like help on 03454 04 05 06.
