Trustee Vacancies

Could you help steer the direction of a local charity and help them ensure their sustainability?

Citizens Advice Wyre Forest is a charity created to serve the local community. We were established in 1963 in Kidderminster and have been providing advice and information on a wide range of subjects including debt, benefits, housing and employment. We deal  with over 5,000 clients a year and have a staff of over 40 employees and volunteers.

We need to recruit new skilled trustees to join our board as we have lost trustees to retirement, paid work and moving area.

We are looking for people with

  • Strategic vision
  • Independent judgement
  • Willingness to give time and commitment to being a trustee
  • We are particularly looking for people with fund raising skills and experience of funding applications in order to ensure the future sustainability of the organisation

We are also looking for people with marketing knowledge, particularly using social media, in order for us to continue to be relevent to people from all age groups and backgrounds.

This may be a way of developing your experience in order to enhance your career prospects. Some of the work can be done outside office hours.

The Boring Stuff

The post of trustee is unpaid but will provide you a great deal of experience and satisfaction. All reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of trustees and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
